Patti LaBelle is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress, well-known for her powerful vocal timbre and wide vocal range. She is best-known for her hit singles "New Attitude", "On My Own" (a duet with Michael McDonald) and "Oh People". She is the original artist of "If You Asked Me To", which was later covered and further popularized by Canadian songstress, Céline Dion.
